  • The Town of Trumbull will replace a damaged mailbox and/or post at no cost to the homeowner if damage to the mailbox has occurred as a result of ACTUAL CONTACT between the plow or plowing vehicle and the mailbox. If the mailbox/post was damaged due to the WEIGHT OF THE SNOW/ICE, and not actual contact, then the town will do a “courtesy” repair for mail delivery only and any permanent repair is the homeowner’s responsibility. In the event that the town does a “courtesy” repair, a letter will be placed in the mailbox at that time.

Review the Mailbox Damage Policy page for more information and how to request a replacement.

  • A parking ban is often declared during winter storms to allow the Town to efficiently remove snow from the roadways. During the parking ban, all vehicles must be removed from being parked on all streets.

Vehicles parked on the street may be ticketed and towed at the owner’s expense. If your vehicle is towed due to a parking ban violation, contact the Trumbull Police Department at (203) 261-3665 to find out which tow company was used and how to reclaim your vehicle.
