Suicide Loss Support Groups

Losing a loved one to suicide is difficult and can come with a lot of complicated emotions. There are many support groups available to help provide support in an appropriate way.

Trumbull Suicide Support Group

Offered by the Mary J. Sherlach Counseling Center, Town of Trumbull

A safe meeting place for adult survivors of suicide loss to share their experience (thoughts & feelings) and to get support. Must be 18 or older to attend. ***Open to all regions.*** Currently offered via zoom. Email Cornelia Morris cmorris@trumbull-ct.gov or call 203-452-5193 for Zoom link or more information.

Facilitator is a peer who has attended AFSP's Facilitating a Suicide Bereavement Support Group training. This meets continually throughout the year on the 1st and 3rd Thursday each month from 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM. Anyone who has lost someone to suicide All new attendees should call to or email to schedule a preliminary screening. We charge no fee to cover the cost of attendance. Have questions? Support Each Other

Facilitator is a peer who has attended AFSP's Facilitating a Suicide Bereavement Support Group training. Additional information The group usually meets on the first Monday of the month at 7:30 PM. If that Monday is a holiday the meeting moves to the Tuesday. The dates are posted at https://www.supporteachother.org. Support Each Other is an open, in-person, peer to peer bereavement support group for individuals who have lost a loved one to suicide. It is for adults over 18 years of age. Though you are free to drop in unannounced, we would prefer it if you contact us before your first meeting.

Our facilitator is a peer who has attended AFSP's Facilitating a Suicide Bereavement Support Group training. We are currently accepting new loss survivors. Additional information Meetings are held monthly on the second Tuesday from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM. Please contact Sherri Brown at sherrifaithbrown@icloud.com. We are asking all participants to register with Sherri prior to each meeting. We charge no fee to cover the cost of attendance.
