The Trumbull Counseling Center was first established in 1971. In 2013 the Trumbull Town Council voted to rename the counseling center to The Mary J. Sherlach Counseling Center, in honor of the Trumbull resident for her heroic sacrifice and service to the children of Sandy Hook Elementary School. Mary was a school psychologist who dedicated her life to those who needed her the most.
She was a consummate professional and role model. The staff strives to embody her example as they work to help those who need assistance in their daily lives. It is the hope of the staff to work to honor Mary’s memory in the work they do.
