If you have accessed this site to pay delinquent motor vehicle taxes and obtain an IMMEDIATE DMV Clearance, please contact the office at 203-452-5024 to verify the amount due. Payment must be made in the form of cash or certified check to obtain an immediate DMV clearance. If payment is made by credit card, there is a 1 business day wait for the clearance. You must call the office on the next business day for this release. Payments made by echeck or personal check will be cleared in 10 business days. All outstanding vehicle taxes in your name, including taxes not yet delinquent, must be paid in order for a release to be issued. This includes the January installment.
