What We Do

The Conservation Commission is a science-based advisory commission that oversees the protection and supervision of natural resources in Trumbull. It acts in an advisory capacity to the town’s regulatory land use boards, as well as makes recommendations regarding open-space, watershed plans, and natural resource preservation.

September happenings!

Join the Conservation Commission's Vine Team at the Trumbull Nature and Arts Center for invasive species removal. Bring your own tools (loppers, trowels, garden knives - no power tools, please), sun protection, water, and snacks and help remove vines and other invasives from the area. September 19, 2026 from 9 - 11 am. Email vineteamtrumbull@gmail.com to sign up!

Visit us at the Farmer's Market on September 24, 2026 in Twin Brooks Park from 4 - 7 pm. We'll have a table there with plants to give away and information about how to help the local ecosystem in your yard.
