Transfer Station / Recycling Center

The Trumbull Easton and Monroe (TEaM) Transfer Station is a processing site where Trumbull, Monroe, and Easton residents can bring their local waste and recycling items. Waste is temporarily collected before it is transported to disposal in an incinerator, landfill, hazardous waste, or Material Recovery Facility (MRF) also known as a recycling facility.

TEaM Transfer Station Guidelines

  • Trumbull Residents: Driver’s License is required.
  • Monroe Residents: Payment must be made by credit/debit card only directly at the Transfer Station. Tickets are no long being sold.
  • Easton Residents: Tickets must be purchased at Easton Town Hall prior to arriving at the Transfer Station. If a resident doesn’t have enough tickets for their items, they can pay the difference via debit/credit card at the Transfer Station.
  • The Transfer Station does not accept any organic composting material (yard waste/brush) from residents of Monroe or Easton.
  • No tickets are required for recyclables, scrap metal, electronics, household batteries, residential motor oil, residential cooking oil, and antifreeze.

Unacceptable Materials

  • Paint and Paint Cans
  • Liquids
  • Propane Tanks
  • Rocks, Dirt, or Sand
  • Lumber / wood longer than 4 feet
  • Plastic bags (see “PLASTIC BAGS AND FILM” under “RECYCLING PROGRAMS”)
  • Railroad Ties or Logs with Creosote
  • Stumps
