First Selectman's Golf Classic

Golf Classic LogoEstablished in 2012, the annual Trumbull First Selectman's Golf Classic is a fun community event that raises funds to support Trumbull academic programs. The event features an 18-hole golf tournament at Tashua Knolls Golf Course, breakfast and  luncheon.

Tax Deductible Contribution

First Selectman's Golf Classic is a 501(c)(3)organization. Golf participants can declare a portion of their registration fee as a tax-deductible contribution. Sponsor gifts for which no goods or services are received qualify fully as a charitable contribution.

Letter from First Selectman

Dear Friend and Trumbull Supporter:

I’m excited to announce the 11th annual Trumbull First Selectman’s Golf Classic. The tournament, which began in 2012, has distributed $488,000 to  the following student 501(c)(3) organizations: the Trumbull High School Golden Eagle Marching Band, Trumbull High School sports, and the Trumbull Academic Challenge for Excellence (ACE) Foundation.  

Last year’s event was a rousing success with perfect weather and a sold-out event! I am looking forward to another great time with golf, food, prizes, and an opportunity to help our marching band, academic clubs, and sports teams. This year, we have arranged for online registration to make it easier for you to register.

I  am well-aware of the toll the pandemic has taken on some of our supporting  businesses these past few years and  I appreciate any support you can give our school groups as we try to rebuild after some tough years.

The Trumbull First Selectman’s Golf Classic is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. All sponsorships are tax deductible and golf participants may  be able to claim a portion of their registration fee as a tax-deductible contribution.  I am grateful for the continued support of all of our sponsors, golfers, and volunteers. I have been an advocate of the Trumbull Public Schools for many years and I am proud to continue this tradition to support the students at Trumbull High School.
