[ARCHIVED] POLICE ALERT: Bank Robbery Suspect

May 26, 2011 – at 9:08 AM, Trumbull Police communications received a report of a robbery in progress at the TD BankNorth branch located at 925 White Plains Road.  Officers responded and secured the immediate area until contact was made with a bank employee.  It was then learned that the suspect had already left the area.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 50+ years old, thin, 5’6”, 120 lbs and wearing a dark floppy style hat, dark glasses, windbreaker, and blue jeans.  He presented a note to the teller requesting money and then left the bank in the direction of Lawrence Road. 

Bridgeport k-9, in the area at the time of the robbery, assisted in tracking the suspect which led to the Lawrence road area which is located behind the bank.

 No weapon was displayed.  The amount of money taken has yet to be determined.

 Anyone who may have been in the area of the bank around 9:00 am on Thursday morning and believe they saw anything suspicious, is asked to call the police department at 203-261-3665.
