As per the First Selectman, all Athletic Fields and Parks will be CLOSED from Noon Saturday, Aug. 27th through Sunday, Aug. 28th.
Both Beach and Tashua Pools will be CLOSED, Saturday, Aug. 27th and Sunday, Aug.28th.
Tashua Knolls and Tashua Glen Golf Courses will be closed on Sunday, Aug. 28th.
All Town Parks and Rails to Trails will close Saturday, August 27th at 12:00 noon and will not reopen until Monday, August 29th.
Trumbull Public Schools, including offices, will be closed on Monday, August 29th due to the forecasted bad weather from Hurricane Irene (predicted power outages, tree and road problems). Since power outages may inhibit our ability to communicate through our AlertNow Messaging system and the District's website, parents/guardians and staff are asked to monitor local media outlets for possible future delays and/or cancellations. Media outlets include radio stations WICC 600 and WEBE 108 and television stations WTNH (Channel 8--ABC) WFSB (Channel 3--CBS) and WVIT (Channel 30--NBC). We anticipate Trumbull Public Schools will reopen for students and staff on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at the normal time.
