[ARCHIVED] 4/10/2012 - Trumbull Water Pollution Control Authority Announces Change in Billing Procedures

On Wednesday, March 28, 2012, at its regularly scheduled meeting, the Trumbull Water Pollution Control Authority voted unanimously to change its billing procedures from the “averaging” method to “actual” consumption.  This billing policy change to “actual” consumption will be in effect beginning with the May 2012 bill.

The Trumbull WPCA in cooperation with Aquarion Water Company have come up with a solution to give the rate payer the option of installing a second water meter to segregate the water which is being used primarily for outdoor watering.  This solution is intended primarily (but not exclusively) for residents with irrigation systems.  The WPCA is working to finalize the details of this solution with Aquarion and will be posting the costs and regulations associated with this second water meter shortly.
