THE JANUARY INSTALLMENT OF PROPERTY TAXES IS DUE JANUARY 1, 2025
The January installment of property taxes on the Grand List of 2023 is due and payable on January 1, 2025. If payment is not made by February 3, 2025, the installment will become delinquent and subject to interest at the rate of 1 ½% per month from the installment due date. Minimum interest charge is $2.00.
SUPPLEMENTAL MOTOR VEHICLE TAX BILL IS DUE IN FULL ON JANUARY 1, 2025
Section 12-71B of the General Statutes of Connecticut states that a motor vehicle registered between October 2, 2023 and September 30, 2024 must be taxed and said tax is due in full during January 2025. If payment is not made by February 3, 2025, the supplemental tax bill will become delinquent and subject to interest charges at the rate of 1 ½% per month from the due date. Minimum interest charge is $2.00.
Taxpayer is still liable for payment in FULL on bills received in July of 2024 based on Oct. 1, 2023 Assessment.
THE JANUARY INSTALLMENT OF SEWER ASSESSMENT BILLING IS DUE JANUARY 1, 2025
The January installment of the Sewer Assessment billing is due and payable on January 1, 2025. If payment is not made by February 3, 2025, the installment will become delinquent and subject to interest at the rate of 1-1/2% per month from the installment due date. Minimum interest charge is $5.00. Sewer assessments are currently not available to view or pay online.
Failure to receive your bill does not exempt you from payment of tax or penalty. Taxes may be paid by mail or online at WWW.TRUMBULL-CT.GOV. The postmark will be used to determine if a payment was made on time. Be sure that your check is made out correctly, or it will be returned. Payments may also be made at the office of the Tax Collector in the Town Hall, Monday through Friday 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Sewer Assessment payments may be made at the Tax Collector’s office or by mail only.
WPCA Sewer Use bills are always available to pay online, by mail or in the tax collector’s office.
