TRUMBULL EMS NOTIFICATION TO COMMUNITY: TRUMBULL EMS TO CONDUCT ANNUAL DISASTER SIMULATION DRILL

EVENT DATE & TIME: 07/23/2021 FROM 0900-1200

Trumbull EMS will be assisting our TEMS PACE (TEMS Prehospital & Community Education) faculty in conducting their annual disaster simulation drill for EMT students on Friday 07/23/21 between the hours of 0900 and1200. The event will take place at Trumbull EMS headquarters on 250 Middlebrooks Avenue and overflow into the parking area of our friends and neighbors at Middlebrook Elementary School. Our public safety partners from Trumbull Police will also be assisting.

The intent of the simulation is to provide the most realistic training opportunity possible in a coordinated and safe environment to better prepare our students for the potential emergencies they will see as practicing emergency medical services providers. Students are supported by our experienced certified CT EMS Instructors, and EMS Field Providers throughout the drill.

Please do not be alarmed if you see a high volume of EMS and Police Activity in this area during this time frame, or if you see what appear to be “injured or ill patients”. This is a training exercise involving simulated scenarios.

Should you have any questions, please call our administrative team with questions on 203 452-5079 or email our lead instructors at temspace@trumbull-ct.gov.
