Update 12/16/2020:

Due to the impending snowstorm, Trumbull Town Hall will be closed tomorrow, Thursday, December 16, 2020. Critical workforce will be working as usual, and all other employees will be working remotely. There will be no curbside pickup at the Trumbull Library on Quality Street. The Transfer Station on Spring Hill Road will be closed and will reopen for normal business hours on Friday.

12/15/2020:

The National Weather Service is forecasting a significant winter storm for our area tomorrow (Wednesday, 12/16/20) evening and through part of the day on Thursday, 12/17/20. The forecast is for a significant amount of snow and high winds. Residents are urged to make preparations now.

The snow will cause hazardous driving conditions. Please avoid traveling and remain off the roads. A Parking Ban will be in effect beginning at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 16, 2020.

The storm is forecast to bring high winds, which may bring down tree limbs and power lines, causing power outages. Please report any power outages to United Illuminating. Residents who lose power are encouraged to shelter in place until it is safe to travel. If you are in need of shelter, please reach out to family and friends.

Residents are also reminded of the importance of keeping heating and furnace vents clear of snow to maintain adequate ventilation, and remember to keep fire hydrants accessible. Please also remember to check on the elderly and disabled to be sure they are safe.
