Voter Registration Information

The last date to pre-register to vote in the November 3rd election is tomorrow, Tuesday, October 27, 2020. 

The registrar’s office in Town Hall will be open today Monday, October 26th from 9 AM to 5 PM and from 9 AM to 8 PM tomorrow, October 27th for in-person registration.

All mail-in voter registration applications must be received or post-marked by October 27th in order to be accepted.   This is also the deadline to register to vote using the On Line Voter Registration System.   https://voterregistration.ct.gov/OLVR/welcome.do

There will be a LIMITED REGISTRATION SESSION THE LAST WEEKDAY BEFORE the ELECTION on Monday, November 2nd. This session of the Registrars of Voters is to admit those seeking to vote in the election whose qualification as to age, citizenship or residence was attained since October 27th.  Hours:  9:00 AM- 5:00 PM. 

Connecticut allows for Election Day Registration (EDR), so if you have not registered to vote in Trumbull by the cut-off date, it is still possible to come into Town Hall on Election Day — between 6:00 AM and 8:00 PM and vote. Persons wishing to do so must have a valid I.D. and current proof of Trumbull residency. Please plan to arrive early in the day. There is no Election Day Registration at regular polling places.

Proof of Identity and Residence: • A current and valid Connecticut driver’s license or non-driver DMV photo ID

Proof of Identity: • Birth certificate • Social Security card • Current student photo ID from higher education institution • Testimony of another elector (such as husband or wife or parent) Proof of Residence: any of the following documents showing current residence:  • Connecticut DMV learner’s permit • Residential lease • Utility bill (including a cell phone bill) due not later than 30 days after Election Day • Current college/university student registration or fee statement • Current bank statement (within 30 days) • Naturalization documents • Government check or other government document
