[ARCHIVED] 4/24/20: Trumbull Tax Deferment

Town of Trumbull Seal

Tax Deferment: We know that many homeowners and businesses are struggling in these uncertain times. The Governor issued an executive order that gave towns options to help defer taxes.

On Tuesday, April 21, 2020, the Trumbull Town Council approved a deferment program for all taxpayers in Trumbull. Any real estate tax and sewer assessment payments that became due on April 1, 2020 will not be considered delinquent if paid by July 1, 2020. Also, sewer use fees that become due on May 1, 2020 will not be considered delinquent if paid by August 3, 2020. All real estate tax, sewer assessment, personal property tax, and motor vehicle tax payments that become due on July 1, 2020 will not be considered delinquent if paid by October 1, 2020.

Please note that Trumbull landlords who wish to be included in the program will need to file an eligibility application, and can learn more about how to qualify from the Tax Assessor’s office by calling 203-452-5016 or emailing mdevestern@trumbull-ct.gov.
