Vehicle Parking Permits / Park Stickers
As many of you are aware, this week Trumbull Parks and Recreation began distributing new 2020-2021 Park Stickers along with your July vehicle tax bill. The rollout of this new distribution program has come with a few unexpected hiccups. We are working with our fulfillment agency to resolve these problems. In the meantime, rest assured that we have staff in place to assist you with obtaining a temporary access hangtag until a permanent Park Sticker can be sent. If you require a Park Sticker please call our office to set up an appointment at 203-452-5060. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Your Team at Trumbull Parks and Recreation
Our new blue 2020-2021 Park Stickers were mailed out with your motor vehicle tax bill in July. The 2019 (red) and 2020 (green) park stickers were valid until August 1, 2020.
While entrance to all Trumbull Parks is open to the public, parking within the parks requires a Vehicle Parking Permit year-round (July 1st -June 30th). In accordance with the Parks and Recreation Commission regulations, Vehicle Parking Permits shall be issued to Trumbull Town residents at no cost. Vehicle registration will serve as proof of residency.
Please note: Due to the limited park access, non-resident park stickers are not being issued at this time. All previously issued 2019 non-resident stickers expired August 1, 2020. Previously issued 2020 non-resident stickers must be replaced with a new hang tag or sticker. Please call our office to set up an appointment at 203-452-5060. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Vehicles without current parking permits are subject to a $25 violation. 2019 (red) and 2020 (green) vehicle parking permits were only valid until August 1, 2020. The new blue 2020-2021 park stickers will be valid from July 1, 2020-June 30, 2021. Failure to obtain or affix a valid Park Permit sticker (or hangtag) in a timely manner is not grounds for a waiver.
Obtain a Parking Permit
We will mail up to FOUR new 2020-2021 Trumbull Park Stickers at no cost to those with registered vehicles who are paying taxes to the Town of Trumbull. If you have more than four vehicles, you may request additional park stickers for the other vehicles by bringing proof of registration into our office (appointment required).
When our office reopens, park permits will be available by making an appointment with our office. Appointments are available Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Please call us at 203-452-5060 to make an appointment.
If you need additional park stickers, you will need to provide a current, non-expired, vehicle registration reflecting a tax town of Trumbull (Number 144). If your current license has the change of address sticker on the back and/or your registration has been updated by crossing out the ’old’ address, you will also need to present one of the supporting documents from the list.
If you cannot get to the office during regular business hours, please mail a photocopy of your car registration and your license with a self-addressed stamped envelope and we will return a permit by mail. Please include your name, address, email address and daytime phone number. Please allow two weeks for processing.
The Trumbull Parks and Recreation Commission, all departmental personnel, and volunteers continue to work hard to maintain and secure these great assets for our citizens and to add to Trumbull’s quality of life.
