Mah Jongg Open Play Wednesday, July 29th from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Play Mah Jongg! This is open game-play for players of all levels as long as you understand the basics of game play. The group will play with the National Mah Jongg League (NMJL) 2025 card and rules. There will be no instruction, but some tables may be suitable for beginners. A few Mah Jongg sets will be available for use but if you have your own, please bring them. Register here. 

Job Search Tools with Your Library Card Saturday, August 8th from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Looking for a new job or career boost? Your Trumbull library card gives you free access to powerful tools to help you write resumes, practice interviewing, explore career paths, and search for jobs - all online! In this workshop, we’ll walk you through job seeker resources available through the library website. Whether you're just starting out or re-entering the workforce, we’ve got tools to help you succeed. Registration is encouraged, but not required.

Toddler Time (Walkers-Age 3) Monday, July 27th from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Come and join us for some music and movement at the library! We will sing, dance, and read together. This is a drop-in program. No registration required. 

Preschool Time (Age 3-5) Monday, July 27th from 2 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. Ages 3-5. Join Miss Kristine for circle time, stories, and complete a simple craft. Registration is not required.

Toddler Time (Walkers-Age 3) Tuesday, July 28th from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Come and join us for some music and movement at the library! We will sing, dance, and read together. This is a drop-in program. No registration required. 

Baby Time (Birth-walking) Wednesday, July 29th from 11 a.m. to 11:20 a.m. Ages birth to walking. Listen to a story, sing songs, and perform fingerplays. Registration is not required.

Therapy Dog Meet & Greet (All ages) Saturday, August 1st from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. Take a break and meet Thor and Wilson! Thor and Wilson are licensed therapy dogs here for children meet and hang out with. In order to keep a calm environment, we are strictly enforcing a small room capacity and rotating families out as needed. This is a drop-in program and registration is NOT required.

Bring the Hoopla: Hoopla Zone (Kids & Families) Tuesday, August 4th from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Jump back in time with the Hoopla Zone! It is a positive interactive area exclusively for hooping, fun and play. Included are a fun demo performance from 2 Hoopla team members, mini classes, approachable, fun on-the-spot instruction for all levels and an all-inclusive hoop jam. It's a wonderful, interactive activity! Registration is required. Please register each attendee.

Summer Connections: Teen Social Afternoon Wednesday, July 29th from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The Trumbull Teen Social Club, Summer Connections, will be hosting a game day that is open to all middle and high schoolers who are looking to connect with others over the summer. Bring a board game or just come and play! This event is open to only middle and high school grade students. Registration is required.

ArtSmart: POP Art program (Gr. 6 - 12) Monday, August 3rd from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Join Kathy Vincent of ArtSmart! Studio for an afternoon of Pop Art Painting! Inspired by the work of American painter Wayne Thiebaud and working in acrylic on canvas, paint a delicious slice of your favorite cake. Slices will be embellished with dimensional "frosting" & glass bead "sprinkles"! This program is for grades 6-12 only. Please only register youth participants.

DIY Crafting Lab Monday, July 27th from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Come join us for a "do it yourself" crafting lab. We think crafting is something that can be done anywhere friends gather. You supply the child we supply everything else. Let's make something amazing together. Parents welcome to attend. Ages 5 through 10. Register here. 

Building Blocks: Lego/Snap Circuit Drop In Monday, July 27th from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Drop in for a fun time playing with Legos and our Snap Circuits. Let our Master Builder help you create masterpieces or let your imagination take you as far as you can go! Ages 7 and up. 

Books-In-A-Bag Sale Monday, July 27^th through Saturday, August 1^st from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Stop in for our annual Books in a Bag Sale. Five dollars gets you our one-of-a-kind Fairchild Nichols Memorial Library bag and all the adult books, children's books, DVDs and CDs you can squeeze in it. 

Creator's Corner Drop In Wednesday, July 29th from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Drop in and use our 3D printer to create! Ages 8 and up.
