Trumbull Historical Society Veterans Town Hall Sunday, November 9th from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The Trumbull Historical Society and the Trumbull Library have partnered to present the Vets Town Hall! At this event, veterans and those who support them will share their perspectives on what it means to serve our country. Inspired by author Sebastian Junger's Vets Town Halls, this is a non-partisan, non-political event in which all viewpoints are valued. Adult Fiction Book Club Thursday, November 13th from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Join us as we read and discuss Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow by Gabrielle. In Conversation: Amity Gaige author of Heartwood Saturday, November 15th from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Join us for an unforgettable afternoon with acclaimed novelist Amity Gaige. Her newest release, Heartwood, was praised by The Boston Globe as ‘the best thriller of 2025,’ and selected as a Read with Jenna pick, and is rapidly climbing the bestseller lists. Trumbull Eats: Pasta la Vista, Baby! Sunday, November 16th from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Trumbull Eats is our monthly series of cooking demonstrations. Watch a library staff member prepare two themed recipes, then enjoy samples and take-home printed copies to try yourself. Journey into the World of Tea Sunday, November 23rd from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Take a sensory journey into the rich and enchanting world of tea. Participants will sample teas from around the world, learn the history of the tea plant, Camellia sinensis, explore the cultures surrounding tea, and discover the tastes and aromas of the major categories of teas. We will cover white teas, green teas, oolongs, and black teas. We will also learn the important distinctions between teas and herbals and learn about their health benefits as it relates to today’s health-conscious community. Register here (opens in a new tab). 

CHILDRENS

Sharing Stitches Yarn Crafts Group (Gr. 4-8) Saturday, November 8th from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. If you are in grades 4-8 and you enjoy crocheting, knitting, or other types if yarn/needle crafts, this is the group for you. Come and work on projects, compare styles, and chat. Some of the group is also available to help you learn some skills. No experience necessary. Registration is suggested (opens in a new tab). Toddler Time (Walkers-Age 3) Monday, November 10th from 10 a.m. Come and join us for some music and movement at the library! We will sing, dance, and read together. This is a drop-in program. No registration required.

Preschool Time (Age 3-5) Monday, November 10th from 2 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. Ages 3-5. Join Miss Kristine for circle time, stories, and complete a simple craft. Registration is not required.

Baby Time (Birth-walking) Wednesday, November 12th from 11 a.m. to 11:20 a.m. Ages birth to walking. Listen to a story, sing songs, and perform fingerplays. Registration is not required.

Preschool Time (Ages 3-5) Thursday, November 13th from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Join Miss Katie for circle time, stories, and complete a simple craft. Registration is not required.

Miss Claudia Sings a Story Friday, November 14th from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Join Miss Claudia for a musical storytime! Ages 2-5. Younger/Older siblings welcome. Registration is not required.

Builders Brigade (Gr. K-5) Monday, November 17th from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Elementary age kids can come and use their creativity to build something fun and unique using Lego blocks and Magna Tiles. All built items will remain at the library. This is a drop-in program. No registration required.

TEEN PROGRAMMING

Teen (P)SAT Exam Saturday, November 15th from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Get the experience you need to succeed on test day by taking a full-length SAT practice test. You'll get an interactive score report to help you evaluate your strengths and weaknesses so you can start improving your score right away! Historical Tabletop Gaming: The Battle of Agincourt Wednesday, November 19th from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Come and play in a recreation of one of England’s greatest military victories set during the reign of Henry V and the Hundred Years War. The English army, tired, worn-out, and sick, has been cut off from their ships by a much larger force of French knights. Called upon to surrender, the English refuse. The battle that followed was also made famous by Shakespeare in his play, “Henry V”. Lots of fun and learn some history as well! Registration required (opens in a new tab). Grades 4-7.

Teen R&R Monday, November 24th from 4 p.m. to 4:55 p.m. In this program, teens will be encouraged to relax with a variety of low-key activities each session. These activities will change each month but may include coloring pages, Lego blocks, simple crafts, etc. Snacks will be provided. Registration is required (opens in a new tab).

Creator's Corner Drop In Wednesday, November 12th from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Drop in and use our 3D printer to create! Ages 8 and up.

Tiny Tales 2s, 3s and 4s Tuesday, November 18th from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Come join us for story time! We will have a little bit of stories a little bit of music and a show stopping craft. Please register (opens in a new tab) with us online. Ages 2-4

Krista's Kids Yoga Wednesday, November 19th from 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. Join us for a fun, interactive yoga class for children ages 3 to 6. Bring a mat or towel, bring a water bottle, wear your comfortable clothes and join us for a “zen” 45 minutes of relaxation for your little ones and their caregivers. cARTie Museum Bus Story Time Monday, November 24th from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Come join Miss Kelly and the cARTie Crew for a magical museum story time adventure. Expect to learn about different ways of looking at and enjoying art through song, movement, artmaking, exploration, and stories. This month we will be reading “The many ways of seeing ART” and creating individual sponge painting frames.
