Trumbull, CT. November 15, 2013 – First Selectman Timothy M. Herbst acknowledged today a consumer advice website that has ranked Trumbull as one of “The Best Towns for Young Families” in Connecticut.
NerdWallet (NerdWallet.com), in a November 11th on-line article, listed Trumbull as the 2nd best town for young families in the State. Other Connecticut communities ranked in the article’s top 5 included Orange, Newington, West Hartford, and Wethersfield.
“This recognition is just the latest piece of national acclaim for Trumbull, similar to the recognition we have received in recent years from CNN Money Magazine, Relocate America, Coldwell Banker and Family Circle Magazine,”’ said Herbst. “This continual positive feedback is a clear indication that we are doing the right things to enhance our quality of life and prepare for an even better future.”
NerdWallet’s ranking was based on the academic performance of local schools, the relative affordability and value of towns for their residents, and the vitality of the local economy.
