Due to an inordinate amount of rain and humidity this summer, construction and paving in the vicinity of Jane Ryan was somewhat delayed. As of this update, the work on the grounds of Jane Ryan School is nearing completion, with the final task being the construction of the ADA-compliant ramp leading to the upper playground. The contractor should complete the ramp this week, weather permitting, and will then move to the construction of sidewalks on Mitchell Rd leading to Channing Rd.
Once one side of the Mitchell Rd sidewalks is completed, sidewalk construction will begin on the other side of Mitchell Rd. Mitchell Rd will then be patched and leveled in preparation for paving during the 2024 paving season, along with Hampton Rd.
Mulberry St has been milled and is ready for paving.
Police presence will accompany any road work on Mitchell Rd and Mulberry Rd. Police will also be present at the intersection of Mitchell Rd and Channing Rd to facilitate the crossing of children in the morning and at dismissal.
