12/20/2017 - First Selectman Tesoro Announces Restructuring of Executive Office in Trumbull’s Town Hall

First Selectman Vicki Tesoro announces the restructuring of the executive office in Trumbull’s Town Hall

December 20, 2017 -- “I’m excited to share that I have hired Cynthia Katske and Kathleen McGannon as Chief Administrative Officers. These positions are critical to fulfill my goal to create a more transparent and efficient First Selectman office and better serve the people of Trumbull.”

Both Cindy and Kathy bring a long resume of job-related and volunteer experience to the job. Cindy is an attorney who has over twenty years’ experience as a self-employed Legal Editor and has dedicated nearly 20 years of volunteer service to the town of Trumbull in roles with the PTSA, TPAUD, and various other positions. Kathy has been an educator for 20 years, with the last 15 years as a middle school math teacher at St. Catherine of Siena School in Trumbull. Kathy also has given many years of volunteer service to Trumbull, most notably serving 8 years on the Board of Finance, serving as Chairwoman of the Board of Finance from 2006-2009. Kathy also serves as president of a $1 million charitable trust.

These two positions replace two existing positions in the executive office. There will be no additional headcount and these positions will now be operating at a lower operating budget than the previous administration. Alicia Altobelli will remain as Executive Assistant to the First Selectman.

Tesoro states, “I chose to reorganize the existing positions to make the executive office serve the people of Trumbull in the most efficient and transparent way.”

Tesoro continues, “I am also announcing the addition of Kathy Healy Champion as a part-time communications consultant for the executive office.”

Kathy has nearly 20 years of professional and volunteer service in the communication field. Most notably, she was a producer for 10 years for ABC NEWS in both network radio and network television during that period. Kathy has agreed to work at no charge.

This team is in place now and they are reachable for questions or comments via both email and phone during normal business hours.
