Summer Reading Program

Teen Summer Reading Banner 2023

June 17 - August 13

This summer, the Trumbull Library invites teens to let reading transport them - through space, time, genres, and ideas they might not have explored before!

This year, teens in grades 6-12 will earn raffle tickets towards prize baskets by reading (or listening) to any young adult or adult books of their choice, and then writing a book review. Tickets can also be earned by attending library programs or completing activities. Writing a book review is worth two tickets, attending a library program is worth three, and completing one of the activities listed in the online program is worth one.

Additionally, for every two book reviews written teens will have the option of picking up a small prize – a fidget popper or Mochi squishy animal. These will be available for pickup in the children’s department.

6th graders will also have the option to pick either the teen or children’s independent reader program. This cannot be changed later though so be sure to choose carefully.

Raffle prizes will be drawn at the end of the program. For more detailed rules and images of all prizes, see here

Registration, recording of completed activities and book reviews, and entering tickets into the raffles will be done entirely online this year. Additionally, the library is using a new program this year, which now includes a mobile app!

Logging of activities will not begin until June 17th but you can register early here: trumbulllibrary.beanstack.org
