The annual Trumbull Arts Festival will take place this Sunday, September 18, 2022, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM on the Trumbull Town Hall Green at 5866 Main Street. The festival draws artists and crafters from around the state. There is something for everyone: handmade purses, artisan soaps, jewelry, birdhouses, pottery and pet accessories just to name a few.
Entertainment at the gazebo will start at 10:00 AM with Tom Weber, a children’s musician and entertainer. Tom's performances include interactive movement, props, singing, and dancing. His catalog of original songs and traditional favorites will have the children moving, singing, and having fun! When your kids are done dancing to the music they can head over to the Children’s Creative Center tent where the Trumbull Nature and Arts Center and Trumbull Community Women will be offering free crafts for children! If music is not your thing you can head straight to the Judge Aram Tellalian Town Hall Annex Building at 5892 Main Street, also known as the Trumbull Parks and Recreation building, for an all ages and all levels free yoga class! The class will be taught by one of the recreation yoga instructors. A non-perishable donation to the Trumbull Food Pantry is suggested but not required to attend this class. The free yoga class will be from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Once you have built up an appetite dancing, singing, shopping, doing yoga and crafting head over to the food trucks where Get Stuffed Food Truck, Micalizzi’s Brainfreeze Bar, and Silver Sands Pizza will be ready to serve you.
At 1:00 PM First Selectman Vicki Tesoro will address the crowd to celebrate Trumbull’s 225th birthday. The birthday celebration will be followed by a performance by Big Deal Rock at 1:30 PM. Big Deal Rock is a high energy rock dance band that covers the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and current sounds of today.
