As the First Selectman and a life long resident, it is my pleasure to welcome you to Trumbull. This is an excellent place to live, work and play. In fact, Money Magazine, Relocate America, and Connecticut Magazine have recognized Trumbull as one of the best towns in America.
Trumbull has the most recreational and open space per capita in the state. There are 20 parks in our Town or one of our many tennis courts, basketball and volleyball courts. There are two outdoor swimming pools, one indoor pool, a BMX bike track, tot lots, playgrounds and numerous sports fields.
Social and cultural activities exist for people of all ages. I invite you to attend some of our cultural programs, the annual arts festival, or our free weekly outdoor summer concerts. Our Nature and Arts Center offers a place to learn about the environment. Visit Trumbull's modern library which serves both as a family community center as well as a business resource center offering book discussions, movies, workshops, and music programs.
Community involvement is pervasive in town with hundreds of clubs and organizations to connect with or join. Minutes away, neighboring towns offer a number of museums, theaters, concerts and major sporting events within a short driving distance.
Many Trumbull residents actively participate in government and community affairs. Most of our local positions are appointed voluntary offices, and we look forward to new talent and interests in filling open positions. Feel free to come meet me at Town Hall to discuss ways to participate in our community.
Explore our Town website for additional information about the town and current events.
Again, the Town Clerk and Town Treasurer join me in welcoming you. Thank you for selecting Trumbull as your new home.
