Trumbull Social Services & Food Pantry

Our offices and  the food pantry are located at The Center at Priscilla Place, off of Huntington Turnpike near the Bunny Fountain and the Fairchild-Nichols Library. 

Social Services - Counselors offers support to individuals and caregivers in the community.  They offer benefits screenings for programs such as SNAP, Medicaid, the Medicare Savings Program , SSI, and the Connecticut Home Care Program. The department offers emergency financial assistance, resources, information and assistance, and  Medicare enrollment.  In-office and home visits are offered. 

Emergency Assistance - The Emergency Services program was established to provide immediate emergency assistance and relief to families and individuals who are faced with an 
unexpected financial crisis. At the onset of an emergency, Trumbull Social Services is available to offer direct immediate assistance in the form of financial assistance for utilities, medications, food, and other immediate pressing needs. Click Here for Eligibility Guidelines.

Donations:  Donations are  gladly accepted. All monetary donations made to the Social Services Department are used solely to assist Trumbull residents experiencing hardship.

TRUMBULL FOOD PANTRY

The Food Pantry is made available to Trumbull Residents who meet the state's financial criteria for public assistance. Eligibility is determined by the Trumbull Department of Social Services, located at the same address. Trumbull residents in need of Pantry services should call (203) 452-5198 to set up an appointment. Potential clients must show proof of Trumbull residency, and income and expenses of household at the initial appointment.  Appointments are necessary. 

If you wish to donate to the food pantry, we happily accept any non-perishable food items, paper products, such as paper towels and toilet paper, and toiletries. A list of most needed items can be obtained by clicking here.   Gift cards from local grocery stores are always very welcome. 

Donations to the Food Pantry can be made directly at The Center at Priscilla Place between the hours of 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. For large donations  being made, please contact our staff ahead of time @ 203-452-5198 so we may be available to assist you. In addition to the Food Pantry, there are 2 community drop-off locations available at the Trumbull Library – Main Branch @ Quality St, and also at Trumbull Stop & Shop on Quality St.
